- Unite Against Fascism
- Unite Against Fascism is a national campaign with the aim of alerting British society to the threat of racism and fascism. UAF has campaigned against the Nazi British National Party (BNP) in their attempts to gain an electoral foothold, and regularly oppose the racist and islamophobic English Defence League (EDL) nationwide. We aim to unite the broadest possible spectrum of society to counter these threats.

How can this man claim to be anti-facist?
ReplyDeleteIf you agree with freedom of speach but not to those who deny it to others, by definition you deny it to yourself.
One of the reasons that the Nazis succeeded in gaining power in Germany in 1933 is that they were not met by effective-and united- opposition on the streets. There was lots of talking but it did not stop the Nazis. No platform for Nazis, including on Channel 4, and no to debates with political parties or organisations, has to be the position

2) We believe that every political party in this country should have the right to speak but the BNP are different.
3) If you allow the BNP to have freedom of speech it does mean literally, murder on the streets, it means massive increase in racist attacks, support for violence against blacks and ethnic minorities and gay LGBT.
4) How can you engage with people who want to deny other people's freedom of speech.
5) How can you engage with people who want to kill you, who want to murder millions of people.
6) In working class communities up and down the country when these organisations get elected we see trade unionists, blacks and Asians attacked...we have to stop that.

ReplyDeleteMaybe he is insane, but Martin Smith is a real fascist in the Stalinist tradition, someone who attacks and vilifies anyone who disagrees with him. He wishes to deny anyone freedom of free thought and speech to anyone saying anything he doesn't like, ie. will not allow anyone who questions 'the holocaust' the light of day. No debate, just oppress. That is a true mind controller of the Stalinist kind.
No BNP member has ever been prosecuted for physically attacking a trade unionist, a black, or an Asian. However, there are plenty of instances of Muslims attacking whites. And, when Martin Smith runs on about the BNP being Nazis and Fascists who would murder Muslims, never let it be forgotten that it was MUSLIMS who joined Hitler's Nazi army in WW2 as a means of killing Jews and their allies.
Furthermore, it is Muslims who would ban all other religions ("no other God but Allah"), would make women second class citizens, would hang homosexuals from every street corner, and who worship a prophet who was a practicing paedophile. And Martin Smith welcomes people who subscribe to this reactionary crap.
Martin Smith says it makes no difference that two BNP members were elected, that they still need to be attacked and denied free speech. This just shows the contempt that Martin Smith and his SWP & UAF comrades have for the working class electorate.
@ 'Juggernaut' - Last time i checked there were not 6 Million Jews in Britain.
ReplyDeleteU.A.F (Front for Socialist Workers Party) has alligned itself with Muslims that hate Jews and Homosexuals.
Also @ your point 3, why is it U.A.F (Unite Against Free-Speech) always talk about 'Murder on the streets' and 'Attacks on Ethnics', does the U.A.F not believe in Racism against White people?

I think there's plenty of murder on them streets with thanks to this 'Multi-Cultural' Society Labour has forced upon Britain.
On an un-related note, i can't believe 'Martin Smith' had the gaul to put that Channel 4 debate on this website, his interview was pathetic and he made such hypocritical answers it was almost as funny as Tom and Jerry.

ReplyDeleteHow old is this...man? 50? Why does he talk like a 6th Form Student Union rep? Has he ever been out into the real world, and talked to real people in Britain? Does he actually think that if the BNP elects a couple of MEPs, that there will be mass deportations and exterminations? He, and all those that think like him, are certifiably insane.

ReplyDeleteFreedom of speech is fundamental in any society that desires and allows the individual to flourish, but the precursor of freedom of speech is the right to live with out threat or intimidation; threat and intimidation based on the colour of skin or land of origin. The BNP threaten the right of people to enjoy this basic and fundamental liberty, the right to live without fear. Only when people live without fear can they truly exercise the freedom to speak. Andy
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be the problem with UAF, they are incapable of reasoned debate, and just want to stifle opinions that conflict with theirs, even if it means resorting to violence, yet are quick to condemn others when these same tactics are used against them.
